St Helen's Church, Dry Sandford

congregation back 2015 -2

Welcome! Our Sunday service starts at 11.15am. Do come and join us.
For over 100 years Cothill House has worshipped at the church and the boys gather for their service at 10am each Sunday in term time.

Services are as follows:
10am: Each Sunday in term time - Cothill House Service
11.15am: First Sunday – Morning Worship
Second Sunday - Morning Worship with Holy Communion
Third Sunday – Family Service
Fourth Sunday – Morning Worship with Holy Communion

It was both hard and extremely sad to see Tim Perry, our Vicar of seven years, leave at the end of December. As we all know, Tim and his family was much loved in the Parish and made an incalculable difference to the life of St. Helen’s Church. We are hugely indebted to them. As we look toward the future, we have arranged for Sunday Services to continue each week throughout the interregnum led by guest vicars.

January 2018: New Sermon Series - Nehemiah, the Building of the Walls and Prioritising our Lives
Over these weeks, St. Helen’s will be looking at the first part of the book of Nehemiah in the Old Testament, and the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem after Israel returns from exile. There are many lessons we can learn about prioritising our lives at the start of this New Year. We will then take a look at Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, found in Matthew’s Gospel, as we seek to live out the Christian life. As we approach Easter, we will be following the familiar footsteps Jesus takes to the cross, and on Easter Day, celebrate his resurrection.
