Welcome! Our Sunday service starts at 11.15am in the Dry Sandford Primary School. Do come and join us.

Updates on our Church Building
Due to recent structural issues, we've made the difficult decision to lock the Church building. The St. Helen's Parochial Church Council (PCC) is working hand in hand with the Diocese, architects and structural engineers on finding a sustainable solution. For details on the issues, please read our page on the Building Status.

Community Questionnaire: Please complete online and help us with your input!
As many of you might be aware, St. Helen's Church, Dry Sandford has had to lock its doors due to safety issues. We are asking all members of the local community to think about the role the Church building has played in the past and how it might benefit you and the greater community in the future. We have generated a short 16-question survey to our local area. Having your input helps us to apply for grants and is crucial to a successful outcome. You can complete the survey online by clicking here: St. Helen's Community Questionnaire

Or, you may complete a hardcopy as found in the September issue of the WADS newsletter and mail/drop off at a regular Sunday Service or to 65 Lashford Ln, Dry Sandford, OX13 6DZ. Thank you for your time and input!

Village Fun Dog Show a Great Success!
We want to greatly thank Martin & Dinah Gilbert for organising our first major fundraising event towards the Capital Campaign for the restoration of the Church building. The Fun Dog Show was held in the village on 10th August, and through the Gilbert's enormous efforts, raised over £2,500. We are deeply grateful to them, the Abingdon Dog Training Club, all the sponsors, as well as to their hardworking network of family, friends and volunteers – and of course to all the dog owners who came along on the day! Thank you!

Capital Campaign Appeal: Restoration Fund
Our goal is to raise £260,000 in the first phase of a restoration project to repair the walls and install a toilet. This will allow us to open and use the Church building. After that, there will be a second phase to repair the roof which will require an additional £250,000-£300,000. Needless to say, we need your help to get the needed repairs and open St. Helen's once again!

Pledge Form: If you'd like to help us reach these goals, please consider giving generously by completing this Pledge Form. The form will allow you set up a standing order for regular donations.

JustGiving: You can also give online to our Campaign page:

Community Questionnaire
Also, if you are local, could you please complete the brief online Community Questionnaire that will help us gather input in preparation for grant applications. THANK YOU!

Regular Giving: Operational Funds
Outside of the Restoration Fund, please consider giving to St Helen's on a regular basis. We still desperately need regular giving to cover our daily operational costs such as insurance, grounds upkeep (which has had to be reduced due to budget concerns), utilities such as the brown bin and our Parish Share. If you'd like to give regularly towards making St. Helen's viable, please download this Gift Form for operational funds. Thank you.
